Chess Club

The American Cultural Center is glad to announce that it is launching a new venue — Chess Club. Please come on Wednesday, July 27 at 7 p.m. to the next Chess Club meeting. We are happy to invite our patrons to learn how to play chess and how to improve their chess skills.

The game of chess holds a unique fascination. The strategic complexities offer lively minds an immediate challenge and stimulating exercise. It can be played for fun, or with increasing degrees of seriousness up to the highest levels of competition. Chess is truly a ‘Sport for All’.At the Chess Club, we will learn chess theory, how to solve chess problems, play games with the opponent, and we will conduct chess quizzes and simultaneous exhibitions. Agenda for the next chess lesson: chess game notation, solving tasks on one move checkmate, principles of chess debuts (openings), scholars checkmate.
